Die-casting is also referred to as high-pressure casting.
It is a method of precision casting in which melted metal is injected into a precisely machine-processed metal mold and extruded with high pressure. The resulting die-cast products are identical to the shape of the mold and consistent in specifications.
The merits of die-casting include precision in product specifications, mechanical performance, and ease of mass production. Commonly die-cast metals are zinc, aluminum, tartar, copper, and magnesium. These materials are injected with air, water, or oil pressure before being cooled.
Common die-cast products are automotive and industrial equipment parts.
